Botanical Inspiration

I love botanical illustrations. 

I am considering using them for my inspiration in my living room and kitchen.

Glass Accessories ~ DIY Painted Glass

While scanning the Pinterest 'everything' page I found this image...

Something easy, fun and beautiful to look at.

Today while painting a small table I realised I could try this too! Something from my 'diy to do list'.

I took this vase which is from Ikea for €0,50 ...

I then simply added some paint, 

 

swished it around,

poured out the paint 

and voilà! 

 

I am very happy with the result. No glass in my home is safe now!

Painted the entry.

Yesterday I decided to paint one of the walls in my entry. 

They were already a shade of grey that the previous residents used. I had some paint leftovers and found this lovely shade of purple. One wall makes so much of a difference.

Like some kind of modern green alchemy, the genius of this DIY design idea is in its extreme simplicity. It requires two objects that are easy to acquire – one you can buy for a few cents and the other you can find anywhere on the ground – and turns them into an everyday household object more unique and stylish than the mass-produced equivalent.

I debated on whether or not to use a saw to cut the end piece but decided to leave it how I found it which was with a torn end. 

! -> One of the metal hooks was a bit dull on the end so I drilled a small hole into the stick of wood.
